In today's show we're gonna do a power apps PDF generator that's right we're gonna take advantage of the power of the Microsoft flow PDF converter and we're going to take some inputs from our power apps and we're going to ship that off to onedrive or we have flow mixed up some stuff and then spit out a PDF on the other end so it'd be great if you want to make invoices or records of things that people do nobody's trying to make so that your power apps can be used for all types of different situations but first here's our intro hi my name is Shane Young with power apps 9-1-1 those guys in today's show we're gonna make a power apps PDF generator so what we're gonna do is you know a lot of times you build these power apps to get rid of paper whether that be get read your time cards your expense reports your time off request purchase order processes alright one of the things we're doing power apps is we're automating data collection and getting it stored somewhere but still on the other end of the equation we usually have to get that data out and do something with it so purchase order is a great example right we want to make it some power apps you can build out a purchase order go through approval processes all those fun things and then when you're done we want to save that PDF or make that into a PDF and then send it off to the vendor so we can get the thing we approve the order for right this is the exact projects I'm doing for a construction company over in the UK and so I'm not going to show you their whole project clearly but I wanted to kind of show you guys some of these conceptual pieces of how this works so you guys can also start adding PDFs into the mix and what we're going to see is that we're actually gonna do the bulk of the work over in Microsoft flow and the original research was done by a gentleman from Down Under named John who he is one of the smartest flow guys I know and so he has a blog post that I'll link in the comments that walks you through how to do some of the PDF stuff in flow but you know what we're gonna do is we're gonna take that seven or eight steps further we're kind of getting into the weeds a little bit because that's what you guys expect out of me right we want to be able to do this and I want you to be able to apply it to your environment so with all that said let's just switch over to my desktop and take a look okay so over here on my desktop first thing I want to show you is this is the PDF ...
