How can I create a download link for a PDF in WordPress without getting a "Forbidden Access" error?
There is a pdf viewer stock app that comes on all Android phones. However, one must still download the pdf file before it can be seen. I have a Huawei (w/ EMUI 10 & Android 10) Android phone, with Chrome, Firefox & Brave browsers. I also have 3 options for opening a pdf under Default Apps; the stock Google PDF Viewer (Drive), PDF Viewer, and Create Fillable Pdf . I have tried this on all of them, but no matter the combinations of browsers or pdf apps, when clicking on any whatever.pdf link on any web-page in any browser, the phone automatically (and always) pops open a window that says. Choose where to download! You can either click download, or cancel, and that is it. There is no setting on this phone for pdf options; I've searched settings and "pdf" has zero results. In the Chrome browser settings, there are no options for opening a pdf file, as I have seen posted in a image here on Q. Conclusion. It is not possible to simply view any pdf file on any Android phone, like one can with any of these browsers on any laptop using any OS; I'm Linux Mint on PC & a Win-10 laptop.
